Golf clubs

Your golf equipment (bag containing clubs and shoes) is considered to be a standard baggage item and is included in your baggage allowance. If the number of baggage items you wish to check in is greater than the authorized allowance, you must purchase an additional baggage allowance. Are you a Flying Blue Golf member? You may transport one golf bag at no extra charge, regardless of how many baggage items you check in to the hold*. To benefit from this allowance, please visit the Flying Blue Golf and complete the corresponding form. You will receive a printable voucher to show at the airport.

* On flights provided by AIR FRANCE, KLM, Martinair, Air Europa, Air Corsica, Brit Air, Régional or CityJet. The weight of your equipment cannot exceed 23 kg / 50 lb.

Diving equipment

Diving equipment (wet suits, masks, fins, and pressure regulators) that is packed together is treated like all other baggage. Its transport is therefore included in your baggage allowance. If the number of baggage items you wish to check in is greater than the authorized allowance, you must purchase an additional baggage allowance. To determine the amount, please read the information in the Checked baggage section.

Please note: underwater diving flashlights are accepted with prior confirmation from our telephone sales department.

Scuba tanks
Compressed air scuba tanks are accepted in the hold, as long as they are empty and do not weigh more than 23 kg / 50 lb. Their transport is not included in your baggage allowance. At the airport, you must pay an extra fee* determined according to your trip.

Zone 1 : €55 (or 75 USD on flights departing from a country outside the European zone)

Zone 2 : €55 (or 55 USD on flights departing from a country outside the European zone)

Zone 3 : €100 on flights departing from a country within the European zone (150 USD departing from all other countries)

Zone 4 : €100 on flights departing from a country within the European zone (100 USD departing from all other countries)

Please note: the transport of scuba oxygen tanks is prohibited in the cabin and the hold.

* This fee cannot bee paid online. These one-way flight fees are only valid on flights operated by AIR FRANCE and KLM.

Fishing equipment

Fishing equipment can be transported in the hold with prior confirmation by phone from our sales department .

Fishing equipment (comprising 2 rods, boots, a tackle box and a net) counts as one baggage item. This equipment must be packed in a single container. Its transport is therefore included in your baggage allowance. If the number of baggage items you wish to check in is greater than the authorized allowance, you must purchase an additional baggage allowance. To determine the amount, please read the information in the Checked baggage section.

Bicycles and tandems

Bicycles and tandems can be transported in the hold with prior approval by one of our telephone sales agents .

Transport of bicycles and tandems is not included in your baggage allowance. At the airport, you must pay an extra fee* determined according to your trip.

Zone 1 : €55 (or 75 USD on flights departing from a country outside the European zone)

Zone 2 : €55 (or 55 USD on flights departing from a country outside the European zone)

Zone 3 : €100 on flights departing from a country within the European zone (150 USD departing from all other countries)

Zone 4 : €100 on flights departing from a country within the European zone (100 USD departing from all other countries)

The maximum weight of bicycles and tandems that you may transport is 23 kg / 50 lb per item. Beyond this, you must pay a fee for the excess weight. To determine the amount, please visit the Checked baggage section.

In preparing to transport your equipment, please remember to:

remove the pedals,
remove the front wheel and attach it to the frame,
turn the handlebars to the side (parallel to the frame),
place your bicycle in a protective container (cardboard*, hard plastic). Bicycle containers (175 cm x 21.5 cm x 86 cm / 69 in x 8 in x 34 in) are available for purchase at most Air France check-in desks.

Ski equipment

Ski equipment can be transported in the hold with prior confirmation by phone from our sales department .

Ski equipment is treated as a baggage item. Its transport is therefore included in your baggage allowance. If the number of baggage items you wish to check in is greater than the authorized allowance, you must purchase an additional baggage allowance. To determine the amount, please read the information in the Checked baggage section.

Place all skis and boards in an adapted container.

Alpine skis: 1 pair of skis + 1 pair of poles + 1 pair of boots
Snowboards: 1 board +1 pair of boots
Water skis: skis only.

Scooters

Scooters can be transported in the hold with prior confirmation by phone from

our sales department Scooters are treated as baggage items. Its transport is therefore included in your baggage allowance. If the number of baggage items you wish to check in is greater than the authorized allowance, you must purchase an additional baggage allowance. To determine the amount, please read the information in the Checked baggage section.

Place your scooter in a suitcase or adapted container (slipcover). For security reasons, the transport of scooters is not authorized in the cabin. These objects are considered dangerous, as they may be sharp. They will be refused during the X-ray scan, confiscated, and destroyed.

Surf, kitesurf, bodysurf boards, windsurf boards and longboards

Surfboards, kite surf boards, bodysurf boards, windsurf boards and longboards may be transported in the hold, with prior authorization by phone from our sales department.
If the length of your equipment does not exceed 107 cm / 42 in, it can be treated as a normal baggage item and its transport is therefore included in your baggage allowance.

If the length of your equipment is between 107 and 300 cm (23 kg maximum per piece of equipment), you must pay an extra fee* determined according to your trip.
