One of the major fish restaurants in Paris, Le Dôme gets an overhaul thanks to its new Japanese chef, while retaining its indomitable spirit.

Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, Picasso, Lenin and Trotski… In their time, all these famous figures have been regulars of the Dôme, founded in Montparnasse in 1898. Today, the institution has retained its blend of Art Deco and 1970's feel, just like the other brasseries designed by Slavik: orange bench seats, large wooden counter, colourful stained-glass windows… The gold-leaf covered ceiling, contemporary chandeliers and winter garden are all recently added touches to breathe new life into the restaurant, whilst retaining its original soul.
After 30 years at the helm, Franck Graux let Japanese chef Yoshihiko Miura take over, already putting his very personal imprint on the dishes. The modernised menu changes every day, subject to product availability, even though the fish stew and sole meunière remain hallmarks. The eclectic wine list will satisfy even the most demanding customers. To end on a sweet touch, the irreplaceable Napoleon millefeuille will delight those with a sweet tooth. Uncommon sense of good service rounds up the charm of an unforgettable moment.
